Tiene el agrado de convocar al Día Internacional de Solidaridad con el Pueblo Palestino para conmemorar la aprobación de la Resolución 181 (II) de la Asamblea General, de 29 de Noviembre de 1947, en que se establece la partición de Palestina en dos Estados. Hasta el día de la fecha sólo un Estado fue creado, Israel.

RACHEL is a cinematographic inquiry into the death of a young American peace activist who was crushed by an Israeli army bulldozer on march 16, 2003, while she was trying to prevent the destruction of a Palestinian home in Rafah. Simone Bitton gives voice to all the people involved in the story. She gathers direct testimonies and unveils many amazing documents. Little by little, while rigorously exposing facts and complexities, the film develops and transcends its subject, transforming into a meditation on youth, war, idealism, solidarity and political commitment . Palestine becomes a metaphor – a tomb for a child of today. In the beginning, there is this: She was called Rachel Corrie. She was 23. She came to Palestine, convinced that her American citizenship would be enough to make her an effective human shield, that her simple presence would save lives, olive trees, wells and houses. Like many youngsters of her generation, she kept a travel log in the form of e-mails, which she sent to her family and friends in the United States. During the eight weeks that she had left to live, Rachel was to discover that which, in her own words, no documentary film could have taught her.
The film is in English, Arabic and Hebrew, english subtitles.

GACETILLA DE PRENSA PRIMER CONFERENCIA INTERNACIONAL POR LA VERDAD Y JUSTICIA: 11-S
El próximo Viernes, 11 de Septiembre se realizará en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires la Primer Conferencia Internacional por la Verdad y Justicia del 11-S, a celebrarse en la Sala Juan L. Ortiz de la Biblioteca Nacional, a las 16 hs.
La ciudad de Buenos Aires recibirá la visita de prestigiosos investigadores como el Dr. James Fetzer, Fundador de Académicos por la Verdad del 9/11; autor de The 9/11 Conspiracy y productor del documental "The Science and Politics of 9/11". Nos acompañará también Thierry Meyssan, Periodista e Investigador, Director de la Red Internacional Voltaire; autor del best seller "La Gran Impostura", obra traducida a 27 idiomas que le valió ser declarado "Persona Non Grata" en los EEUU. Participará también, el Dr. Oscar Abudara Bini; Médico Psicoanalista e Investigador Argentino del Terrorismo de Estado. Todos ellos especialistas en la materia, que expondrán y disertarán sobre sus investigaciones.
En este marco, Kurt Sonnenfeld, ex-documentalista oficial de FEMA en Ground Zero, entregará a los investigadores presentes copia de sus imágenes inéditas y captadas en el lugar de la tragedia; las cuales nunca fueron entregadas al gobierno de los Estados Unidos. Sonnenfeld, actualmente refugiado en Argentina, es el autor de la obra "El Perseguido".
El Productor de Cine, Korey Rowe presentará para Latinoamérica su aclamado film "Loose Change". El Sr. Rowe perteneció a la División Aérea 101 del Regimiento de Infantería, habiendo servido a su país en Afganistán e Iraq. El estreno del Film se llevará a cabo en el Complejo Tita Merello (Suipacha 442), a las 16 hs. el sábado 12 de Septiembre.
